Literacy Props
We use these with our flannelboard, story apron, and story hat to retell
stories and songs. I cut them out, gluestick them on construction
paper, laminate them, and put velcro or sandpaper on the back. I use
a different color of construction paper for each set and put them in a
quart size ziploc with a label to help the kids (and me!) manage them. You can also put them on popsicle sticks for
instant puppets or headbands for dramatizing (and whatever else the kids
or you come up with!). I spent lots on commercial retelling pieces
until I realized how cheaply and quickly you can make them on Printmaster!
