November 2007 Dear Friends,      Welcome to a new and hopefully improved "Our School Family" website.  It's been a bittersweet few years and unfortunately I have not been able to update the site in quite a while.  After a little over a year long battle with colon cancer, I lost my father to the disease in November 2006.  At the same time I was able to move into my dream job, becoming an Early Childhood Resource Teacher in Orange County Public Schools, working mainly with Kindergarten teachers and their children.  I want to say Thank You first to God for His presence and strength throughout this and for the blessing of an amazing husband and family and unbelievable friends.  I also want to thank all of you who continued to visit the site and emailed so many kind and uplifting words.  Educators and caregivers of children truly are angels on earth!  My goal is to reorganize this site so there are more resources available to help teachers who are struggling to keep Kindergarten (and early childhood) a developmentally appropriate and nurturing place and make it easier to navigate so you can do so with ease and efficiency.  This will take some time and patience (on my part too!) so please bear with me as I work towards this goal.  Although this is the new entry page, I am including a link to the old entry page for those of you who feel more comfortable using that.  Thank you again for visiting-I wish you well!!
